Products and Services
The
Spot should represent a unique opportunity to create a high energy,
dance-theme venue that will cater for the targeted customers. The development's
central location, demographics, and lack of direct competition are major
advantages to such business ventures. It should specialize in high-energy
themes and offer beer, wine and an array of liquors and mixed drinks. In
addition, nonalcoholic beverages such as soft drinks, juices and bottled water
are to be sold too. A "casual" food menu consisting mostly of
appetizers and small entrees should be available. The initial hours of
operation can be 6:00 P.M. to 2:00 A.M., maybe three (3) nights a week for the clubbing.
Other entertainments could be maintained within the other days which should
include live band concerts, standup comedy, singing/dancing and other side
attractions.
Competitive
Edge?
There are three elements to a club
competitive edge.
I.
The
first is the location, how secured it is, free from criminal activities and easily
accessible by motorists.
II. The
second is exceptional management team that should have extensive experience and
success managing nightclubs and bars.
III. The
third should focus on attracting core customers in every aspect of planning. Hence
it should have the following to attract
and retain customers:
- A larger ladies room area. Beyond its traditional uses,
it's also a place of social gathering and conversation. As a result,
additional square footage should be added to this part of the venue
including a couch, TV, music, and plenty of social space.
- Floor design. No doubt, females are more observant of design, and
the impression it conveys, than males are. Therefore, careful
consideration should be put into everything from colors, to
fabrics, and materials.
- Music.
This is a critical one. Three or Two DJs who have the best satisfaction
rate with the female clientele should be employed.
A
VERY IMPORTANT SALES STRATEGY
A
grand opening should be organized, for which the cover charge may be waved for
all women customers. And a traditional ladies night can be established every Wednesday.
This
strategy should also include opening earlier and providing entertainment in
order to bring in an early crowd before 10 P.M. Comedians and Comedy Acts
should be booked into the early evening time slot, with contests sponsored by
businesses and products that are marketing to customers.
